Gallery of Modern Art

What happens when you combine Molehouse with the idea of creating a public space – a gallery of modern art? A former quarry located in Vydrica in Bratislava became an inspiration for us: we designed a two-storey building with the roof shape that respects genius loci of the quarry. The two-storey facade of the building invites you to come in from the street, and the rest of the gallery simply blends with its surroundings. Installation of skylights and glass facade responded to the increased demand on lighting in the gallery. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the Danube and surroundings of Vydrica from the terrace with a glass of wine.
