• In winter, Molehouse does not require to be heated, you only adjust its indoor temperature according to your needs
    • The main source of heat is the sun, and that is for free
    • In Molehouse, there is no need for air-conditioning as the house never gets overheated by the sun in summer
    • The interior is thermally stable – the house maintains a comfortable indoor temperature all year round, so if you do not use heating even during the coldest winter, you will never freeze
    • In winter, technical and storage rooms are warmed-up by the heat emitted by the surrounding soil for free

    • The fresh air is supplied through gravity ventilation effect and by windows
    • The fresh air does not need to be changed by the active ventilation with heat recovery – less technology means more freedom from technological progress
    • In winter, the supplied fresh air heats up quickly from the surrounding earth serving as a thermal mass. In summer, on the contrary, it cools down rapidly. Thus, the supplied fresh air does not require to be extra heated or cooled.

    • There is plenty of natural light in the house thanks to well insulated large windows
    • The main source of light is the sun that shines for free
    • You can enjoy daylight for longer and use less lightening that results in energy consumption reduction thanks to the house built in the right direction
    • Even if it is cloudy, rooms are well-lighted throughout the day

Interior full of light and fresh air
